有關子女繼承權的問題(急)

請問各位大大:
我前妻的父親過世，但因身前有欠債，所以我前妻須辦理拋棄財產繼承權；但她今天來電說，我兒子也必須要辦理，因為畢竟是她親生兒子....但我有疑問:
1.我兒子監護權在我身上。
2.如果要我兒子拋棄債務，也應該問我監護人吧。
3.前妻只要我兒子的戶籍謄本、印章、印鑑證明；為何不要監護人的。

請各位大大解答.....謝謝~
