匯豐5日公布，匯豐中國5月服務業經營活動指數(PMI)為51.2，較4月的51.1略為回升，為仍創下21個月以來次低。(匯豐中國4月服務業PMI大幅回檔至51.1，創20個月新低)。

其中，5月服務業新訂單整體大致持平，但製造業與服務業趨勢各異。5月製造業新接訂單量小幅下降(去年9月以來首次下降)；服務業新業務仍保持增長，但增速輕微，處於調查歷史低點。

匯豐中國首席經濟學家兼經濟研究亞太區聯席主管屈宏斌指出，5月服務業活動低檔走穩，製造業成長乏力持續令服務業承壓，將對大陸第二季經濟帶來更多下行風險。他預計，房地產市場改善和大陸政府在全國範圍推行增值稅改革的努力，可能在未來能給服務業形成一些支撐。
