歐洲央行(ECB)總裁Mario Draghi周一(8日)表示，歐元區內的財政整頓是仍然必要的，因這些行動的解散可能導致困頓的會員國的借貸成本增加。

Draghi今日於歐洲議會下屬經濟與貨幣事務委員會(Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs)所舉行的聽證會上說道：「我們知道財政整頓是仍不可避免的。」

他並補充道，整頓努力若被反轉的話，將導致利率走高，並意味困頓的歐元區會員國到時必須付出更多來在資本市場中借貸。

Draghi也以歐洲系統性風險委員會(European Systemic Risk Board，ESRB)主席的身分表示，財政整頓「應當被當作是友善於成長的」，而非是終止它。
