外交部亞太司司長何登煌今(23)日表示，吉里巴斯共和國總統湯安諾（H.E. Anote Tong），預計本月29日來台進行國是訪問，藉時也將參加大使館揭幕酒會。

目前我國在太平洋6友邦索羅門群島、馬紹爾群島、諾魯、帛琉、吐瓦魯及吉里巴斯中，僅吉里巴斯未在台設立大使館，湯安諾來台將完成最後一塊拼圖。

何登煌表示，湯安諾將率團於29日至6月4日進行為期6天訪問，這也是他第10次來台，除了參加大使館揭幕酒會（大使館預定31日在台北揭幕），期間也將拜會總統馬英九及立法院長王金平，就雙方關切的議題進行交流。

此外，湯安諾也將赴澎湖參觀馬公機場太陽光電計畫、海洋生物研究中心，赴宜蘭參觀蘭陽博物館及金車威士忌酒廠。
