美國《華爾街日報》旗下的科技新聞網站《AllThingsD》周六 (10 日) 報導，美國蘋果公司 (Apple) 將在下個月 10 日舉辦產品發表大會，揭露外界期待已久的新款 iPhone 智慧手機。

美國《華爾街日報》旗下的科技新聞網站《AllThingsD》周六 (10 日) 報導，美國蘋果公司 (Apple)(AAPL-US) 將在下個月 10 日舉辦產品發表大會，揭露外界期待已久的新款 iPhone 智慧手機。

報導指出，坊間盛傳蘋果將同時推出一款全新平價 iPhone 以及現有 iPhone 5 的升級版。消費者持續對蘋果施壓，要求加快創新腳步；近日亦有報導傳出，蘋果董事會已開始對公司創新速度感到不滿。蘋果代表不願就產品發表消息發表評論。

關於 iPhone 5 升級版，外界普遍猜測將加強相機及中央處理器，同時可能加入指紋辨識感測技術，源於蘋果去年買下相關技術研發公司 Authentec。

另一方面，蘋果也亟需推出平價版 iPhone，來積極擴大在中低階手機市場版圖。因對手 Android 作業系統陣營推出一波波低階手機夾攻，蘋果在全球智慧手機市占已節節敗退。

報導補充，任何即將推出的新 iPhone 自然都將搭載新的 iOS 7 作業系統。蘋果已在今年 6 月的開發人員大會上宣布這款新軟體平台，並開始測試工作。iOS 7 除了將舊有首頁目錄及圖標外觀設計大改，還改善通知、照片編輯及開發人員支援等功能。
