摺好之後先對照三面圖，一面核對機翼的角度，一面調整彎曲角度。這部份若沒有做好，不能算是「完成」，就算摺好了充其量只是把紙摺成形狀，不符合飛機的條件。

其次，想要飛得遠飛得漂亮的話，絕不能忽略摺好的紙飛機最重要的「儀式」，那就是用指尖在機翼尾端扭摺，製造〈升降舵〉。如果不加這個調整功夫，好不容易摺好的紙飛機也無法如願飛翔。摺法很重要，但是請千萬別忘記飛得好的秘訣。升降舵的調整後面會說明，總之，扭摺的程度會使飛行方法出現微妙的差異

常常有人會在尖端哈上熱氣，以讓紙飛紙飛得更高更遠，然嘴巴哈氣後，可能因為尖端軟化變型反而形成反效果。
