F1加拿大站鳴金收兵，Sebastian Vettel輕鬆奪冠，不過卻傳來死亡意外，一名工作人員被吊車撞到，送醫急救過程中不治。
這名38歲的男性工作人員，當時在協助Esteban Gutierrez的車子，他在賽場第二彎道處跌倒，結果吊車也沒有看到他，意外就此發生。
事發當下，他先被帶到賽場內的醫療站急救，跟著用直昇機送到蒙特婁聖心醫院，但仍因傷重死亡，他當時是因為要撿掉到地上的對講機，結果意外就此發生。
F1的管理單位，國際車聯發表聲表示，與F1官方與負責搶救的醫院對此意外向死者家屬與朋友致上最深切的慰問。
Vettel知道這個消息後表示：「這是非常令人痛心的一件事情，他們的工作可能很平凡，可是對我們運動員來說是非常重要的，沒有他們的犧牲、奉獻，就不會有賽車的存在。」
