運送報廢放射器材　卡車失竊墨國緊張

【周佩萱／綜合報導】墨西哥當局4日表示一輛載有極端危險的輻射原料卡車失竊，這輛卡車運送放射治療器材，含有輻射物質鈷-60，準備從醫院用送到廢棄場丟棄。
 
國際原子能總署（International Atomic Energy Agency，IAEA）表示卡車失竊當時，輻射物質是在完好的防護下，不過一旦防護被移除，或是輻射物質遭破壞，將會非常危險，而且這類物質相當難以控制，還可被用來製作髒彈。
 
這輛卡車於2日在墨西哥丹波賈科(Tepojaco)一加油站被偷，當局已在全國展開搜查，目前尚不清楚被偷原因，官員表示可能竊賊也不知道卡車上究竟裝的是什麼，只是想偷卡車而已，結果被當廢鐵出售，可能引發嚴重健康威脅。
 
美國方面也接獲通知，注意含有輻射物質的卡車，加強協尋這輛高危失竊卡車。
