亞洲行缺席 歐巴馬：大陸從中獲利

美國總統歐巴馬表示，為了坐鎮處理預算僵局和債限危機，他決定缺席亞太經合會峰會和東亞峰會，中國大陸可能從中獲利。

歐巴馬表示，他原本可以成行，幫忙推動貿易協議：「我不在亞洲，我確定中國不會介意。兩國在某些議題存在歧見。因為我不在場，他們表達看法時，不會遇到太多阻力。」

歐巴馬也警告，政府停擺與財政辯論，正在傷害美國的海外聲譽。

白宮宣布歐巴馬取消亞洲行之際，大陸國家主席習近平人在印尼，宣布總值三百億美元的貿易協定。

歐巴馬希望在年底前能敲定「跨太平洋夥伴協定」（TPP）：「我應該可以去亞洲的。諷刺的是美國積極規劃參與各種多邊論壇、設定議題，推進度，比任何人都投入，像是中國。結果我缺席了，就好比我沒出現在自己的派對上。我認為，其他國家領袖會感到憂心。」

歐巴馬也取消訪問馬來西亞與菲律賓的行程，讓人對美國政府宣稱要將重心轉往亞洲的政策產生質疑。
