　 　 又 曰 ： 「 孔 子 之 道 大 而 能 博 ， 門 弟 子 不 能 遍 觀 而 盡 識 也 ， 故 學 焉 而 皆 得 其 性 之 所 近 ． 其 後 離 散 ， 分 處 諸 侯 之 國 ， 又 各 以 其 所 能 授 弟 子， 源 遠 而 末 益 分 ． 惟 孟 軻 師 子 思 ， 而 子 思 之 學 出 於 曾 子 ． 自 孔 子 沒 ，獨 孟 軻 氏 之 傳 得 其 宗 ． 故 求 觀 聖 人 之 道 者 ， 必 自 孟 子 始 ． 」
