機能語：語と語または文と文の間で、文法的な関係を示す語。助詞、
　　　　前置詞、接続詞などの類。

《機能語：功能詞。詞與詞、句與句之間表示語法關係的詞。例如
前置詞、助詞、連接詞等。》

親愛的同學，您雖千辛萬苦地學會了Ｎ４、Ｎ５的基礎初級文法，可是卻還看不懂日本報章雜誌及書籍，想要學會拿手的日語，還真是不容易呢！為什麼會這樣呢？說穿了，也只不過是對日語句型中的機能語用法不熟悉罷了。

 

　在學習日語的過程中，最常遇到的挫折，就是每個字看起來都很熟悉，但加在一起就看不懂聽不懂了，這是因為對日語『機能語』的陌生感所造成的。

 

　機能語在日語中佔有極為重要的地位。翻閱日語教科書及雜誌報章，像「～にもかかわらず」、 「～をはじめ」、「～てからでないと」這樣的句型隨處可見。作為日語最大特徵的助詞、助動詞等的意思是不易理解的，而以此為骨架的句型更是令人費解難懂。熟悉這些機能語就成為閱讀上最關鍵的所在了。
