MLB／1020順位選秀　響尾蛇替下身癱瘓球員圓夢

對響尾蛇來說，第三十四輪1020順位的選秀權，已經沒有他們要的球員，但他們還是動用這一輪，為的只有一件事情─「圓夢」。

被選進的球員叫Cory Hahn，來自亞歷桑納州大的外野手，他於2011年一次比賽中與對手碰撞後下半身癱瘓，斷送大好前程。

「這對我們來說有點感情用事。」響尾蛇總裁 Derrick Hall承認，當上週球探總監Ray Montgomery與工作人員提出這個構想時，他覺得非常不理智。

Hahn是在2011年2月20日的一場比賽中，嘗試滑壘結果撞到對方二壘手的膝蓋，造成脊髓損傷，當下被擔架抬了出去，因為嚴重受創，手術搶救後，只能靠輪椅行動。

但是Hahn並沒有因此結束棒球生涯，他仍以教練的身份協助球隊，響尾蛇不但替他圓夢，還因為他的球衣背號是34號，所以等到第三十四輪選他。

Hall說：「這不只是關係到我們，而是關係到Hahn與他的家人，我與他和他家人相處過，他是個很棒的孩子，我們不打算只是把他選進來而已，並希望他擔任隊職員，我跟他的家人都期待著這一天。」
