谷歌專屬航廈 24.3億打造

〔國際新聞中心／綜合報導〕美國一家公司預定斥資8200萬美元（約台幣24億3000萬），在加州聖荷西峰田聖荷西國際機場（Mineta San Jose International Airport）為網路搜尋引擎公司谷歌（Google）興建專屬航廈，航廈內大部分機庫專供谷歌飛機停靠，因此這座航廈也被暱稱為「谷歌機場」（Google Airport）。

建案將於年底前動工，預定2015年落成，工程預定地原本是機場內一個佔地12公頃的停車場，現在因機場斥資13億美元推動現代化計畫而空出使用。

聖荷西市議會4月間投票通過這項開發案，目前正與機場當局就建案內容進行最後確認。合約內容尚未定案，不過預定包括每年260萬美元租金的50年租賃合約，及僱用當地勞工、購買燃料等條文。負責興建新航廈的Signature Flight Support公司，將與代表谷歌的控股公司Blue City Holdings合作建案。

這座航廈距谷歌總部山景市（Mountain View）園區約19公里，航廈內設有餐廳等服務設施，並有7個機庫，分別可容納5到6架飛機停靠，其中5個機庫將保留給谷歌的波音737及波音767等商用客機停放，因此又暱稱為「谷歌機場」（Google Airport）；不過機場發言人巴恩斯表示：「這是重大私人建案，谷歌是主要租用者，但這不是他們的機場。」

惠普 30年前就有專屬航廈

谷歌並非首家擁有專屬航廈的公司，矽谷的惠普（HP）近30年前就在峰田聖荷西國際機場擁有專屬航廈。
