威盛遭判賠美矽智財廠Opti達9260萬元

【楊喻斐／台北報導】威盛電子今日公告因侵害專利權，遭到美國法院判敗訴，並應賠償美商Opti約308.89萬美元（約新台幣9260萬元），不過威盛強調已委託律師申請上訴，至於是否會在第3季提列該賠償將與會計師進一步討論。
 
威盛與其美國子公司於2010年7月遭美商晶片組設計矽智財廠Opti於美國德州東區聯邦法院起訴，指控侵害其2件美國專利，2012年3月，Opti再度於針對上述案件對威盛提起訴訟，該法院於2013年9月判決威盛及美國子公司應賠償Opti損害及利息共計308萬8776美元。
 
威盛強調，本案已委請專業律師依程序向原法院申請上訴中，將積極採取法律行動以捍衛公司及股東之權益。
